Financial Aid and Scholarships

ECHHO invites high school and college students to apply for an ECHHO Book Award. Students must meet the following requirements:

Eligibility Requirements

1. Applicants must be one of the following:

• a graduating high school senior

• a GED recipient

• a non-traditional student (23 years or older)

• a current undergraduate college student.

2. Applicants must

• have applied or been accepted for admission at an post-secondary institution of higher education, or

• be currently enrolled students in good standing at a post secondary institution that is a current member of ECHHO.

• be of Hispanic origin.

3. Be a United States citizen and/or permanent resident of the United States.

Consideration for the awards will be given in the following areas:

1. Grade Point Average

• High School G.P.A. of at least 2.5/4.0 scale

• College G.P.A. of at least 2.5/4.0 scale

• GED score of at least 50

2. One page essay describing your involvement in cultural activities.

3. A resume or list of extra-curricular activities and community involvement.

4. Two letters of recommendation (one each) will be required from:

1. high school/college personnel (non-relative).

2. community representative (non-relative).

Application requirements

1) Complete the ECHHO scholarship application. Applicants can download the application in two different formats:

• scholarship application in PDF format (80 KB, .PDF format)

2) Attach official high school transcript/ official GED certificate/ official college transcript with official seal or signature.

3) Two letters of recommendation.

4) DEADLINE IS JUNE 1. Address envelope to:
